Oh my as we get closer to the end the books get harder and
harder to put down!
Paton is your typical teenager thrown into the horror that
is/was the Zimbabwe’s diamond fields. He
faces things nobody should face and shows a resiliency that is inspiring. Finding friends and protectors in the most interesting
locations, quite by luck sometimes. I don’t think that this book would be for
one gender over the other, but would interest a wide range of students. This is a well written book with a strong
main character. I will recommend it to
our students!
